In this study, the effect of using analogy method in unit "the Structure and Properties of Matter", a primary school 7th grade lesson of Science subject, is aimed to be examined. A quasi-experimental model, one of the types of experimental study with pre-test-post-test control group was used in the study. The study was conducted with the 7th grade students of a state primary school in Civril, Denizli, in the second semester of 2010-2011 academic year. 44 students in total took part in the study; 22 for the control group and 22 for the experimental group.
